With the recital quickly approaching, we are trying to get everything together before the BIG DAY!!  Next week, May 30th, we are asking ALL parents to come in and sign off on the spelling of your child’s name and to make sure that you have everything you need for the recital.  Required shoes are on the outside of the bag and EVERY STUDENT needs a pair of tan (unless other tights are being worn)tights!!!!  We have every size for sale at the studio and they are $10 each.  We also have a new order of footundeez in, so please let us know if you are needing a pair.  They are $21.  

The first “batch” of pictures have been ordered and will be available for pick up shortly.  I will be postponing further ordering until the program is finished.  I will also be putting the pictures up in video form for ordering and those will be available on the website.  I have had LOTS of questions as to why the pictures cannot be e-mailed, put on the website and/or facebook.  I don’t feel comfortable making the pictures “public”, as a parent I try to be careful as to who has access to children, and would like to keep them from being seen/copied/printed by just anyone.  I will password protect the video and the password is PDA.  I will also upload a form that you can print and bring, mail or e-mail to me if you choose to do so.  

The recital is MAY 12, at the Clara Drinkwater Auditorium at the Charleston High School from 1-3 pm.  We have NEVER gone over time (thank goodness) and will try  very hard to keep our recital short and sweet :).  Rehearsals will be Friday, May 11 from 5-8 also at the Clara Drinkwater Auditorium.  The girls should have ALL their costumes and accessories for rehearsals.  Please fix hair like it will be for the recital so they will know what to expect.  Our rehearsals run very smoothly and on time, so please be there and ready when your dance is scheduled.  Thank you so much for helping us during this hectic time.

Finally, during the month of May we will not be taking tuition for classes, but only donations for St. Jude’s.  Please feel free to donate any amount (more or less that your monthly tuition).  We are excited to be helping these children!

The dance pictures are available for viewing and ordering for the next two weeks at the studio!  Please stop by and check them out!!  They ALL turned out really beautiful!!

We are gearing up for the dance recital that will be in less than a month!  Tickets to the recital will be on sale May 1st and all outstanding balances must be paid in full before you can purchase tickets.  Tickets will be $7 again this year and seating will be on a first come, first serve basis.  Adds for the programs will be available for purchase April 23rd-May 4th, and there will be sheets on the front table of the studio to be filled out for those.  The programs are a wonderful keepsake for the girls and they LOVE to look at them in the studio!!  Please let us know if you have any questions!

We will be donating the tuition money for the month of May to St. Jude's to help raise awareness for children with cancer.  We will be giving out more information on it at the end of April!

Dress Rehearsals will be May 11th from 4-8 in Charleston and the Recital will be on May 12th from 1-3.  We're SO excited about this!

All costumes have been ordered and we ask they be paid for and taken by the last week in March.  The girls will try on the costumes, but they will not be able to be taken home until the balance has been paid in full.  The price listed on the costume is the FULL PRICE, if you paid the $25 deposit, then you need to subtract that from the price listed.  So far, all of them have been adorable!!!  I love to see the girls in them, it changes the way they dance :)!  Keep an eye out for your costumes.

Please remember that we are now working on our dances for the recital so attendance is more important than before.  Please try to make it to class each week so that your child will not be behind.  Thank you.

We have “Watch Days” once a month, usually the last class of the month.  We want our parents to get to see the progress that our girls are making in their dance classes.  

We do ask that the other three weeks of the month you and any other guests please take advantage of our waiting room.  We find that the classes run smoother and we have the full attention of the girls when parents and siblings are not in the dance room.
